📄️ Permeability
The permeability of a rock is a measure of the ease with which the rock will allow the passage of fluids. This defines how easy it will be to extract present hydrocarbons.
📄️ Petrophysics
Petrophysics is the study of the physical and chemical properties of rocks and their included fluids (also known as formation evaluation). A petrophysicist's job is to use all available information to analyze the physical and chemical properties of a rock. This information includes wireline data, core data, engineering and production logs, and mud logging data.
📄️ Porosity
The porosity of a rock is the fraction of the volume of space (pores) between the solid particles of a rock to the total rock volume. This defines the total volume available for hydrocarbon saturation.
